Tami Stroud

globetrotting mama

@starryliving

You haven't met multipassionate until you've met Tami Stroud. A fearless scientific sleuth who has travelled the globe homeschooling her large family, she has a heart anchored in faith and a mind driven by curiosity.

Tami has skillfully navigated through continents, and her client's tricky charts (she specializes with postpartum, pre-menopause and constant mucus patterns!).

A lifelong learner, she offers a wealth of wisdom in FKC as a triple-certified FAM educator (FEMM/teenFEMM, Sympto, Billings). You can find her drinking coffee on the dreamy front porch of her Savannah, Georgia home.

Tami says: "while we don't claim to have all of the answers or the perfect fertility awareness protocol, we are both lifelong learners, and strive to keep an open mind."

meet

Nat Daudet

resident millenial

@fertilityawarenessproject

If you haven't yet run into her drooling over the pen aisle of Staples, or drinking an iced matcha latte at the aesthetic coffee shop down the road, meet Nat!

Our resident millennial, she has a keen eye for brand brilliance, and for communicating complex ideas clearly.

Nat's personal experience with obnoxiously long cycles and the infamous non-dry basic infertile pattern has led her to certify in both FEMM and Billings.

Nat says: "between the two of us we have worked with hundreds of clients and have used our unique approaches to offer non-judgmental, effective, evidence based fertility awareness education to our communities."

So how did this all happen?

Two vastly different people, with one shared passion: nerding out on all things FAM.

Nat and Tami trained in multiple methods of fertility awareness and began working with clients. As they started teaching in the real world, they quickly realized that they had a lot of questions about teaching fertility awareness with nowhere to go to have them answered.

They wanted to know how to incorporate other biomarkers into our teaching. Frustratingly, they questioned everything.

How do I maximize efficacy but also meet my clients where they're at?

They were faced with tricky, non-textbook charting scenarios that their methods didn't have answers for. So they did what most fertility awareness educators do. They DM'd.

And they realized that they were both answering the same questions from their clients.

They were both offering a custom charting approach, that would eventually become the curriculum for Fertility Knowledge Collective.

We've been there.

We've had that sinking feeling when clients have asked us daunting questions our methods didn't have the answer to, like:

Which is better, a calculation to open the fertile window or real time cervical mucus data?

I took plan B last cycle, when can I go unprotected?

My temps met the rules, but I didn't get a positive LH test. What's going on?

...that was until we implemented a flexible approach.

How do you become the FAM educator you dream of being?

Offer your clients a custom charting approach!

It's all about having flexible, but effective options!

  • Have conversations with clients around making informed decisions about their fertility.
  • Ask meaningful questions to recommend appropriate charting approaches, including hormone testing, cervical mucus and basal body temperature.
  • Understand how to implement available cross check fertility biomarkers.
  • Appreciate what hormonal information each biomarker can and cannot tell you.
  • Think critically about various fertility awareness method approaches and apply that to your work in a client-centered way.

I think every educator should take this training

I feel more confident in my ability to help my clients and more informed than ever. Specifically, I'm using the Intention Scale, Calculation Rules flow chart, and the LH and BBT best practices with my clients! Starting out as a FAM educator can feel very lonely but that is no longer the case for me after FKC.

What our incredible alumni say:

Fertility knowledge collective is a wonderfully unique collaborative learning opportunity. These are my favourite people to nerd out with!

Susann Pickard

@yourcyclestory

As a FAM nerd and educator who's always looking to learn more, I really feel like Fertility Knowledge Collective was just right for me.

Emma Lukkarila

@crazychartlady

Many of us find we still have questions after our initial certifying program ends. Fertility Knowledge Collective has been an amazing resource to gain insight from other methods and educators so I can better serve my clients—and know where to help them go if I don’t have the answers for them!

Jamie Murphy

@followingmybody

This program is a trusted, safe place to learn tips and best practices from multiple methods. Definitely adds nuances and depth to your practice whichever methods you teach.

Carmen Reyes

@womensmysteries

An amazing place to be connected with other FAM educators and get a glimpse into other methods! Going forward, I'll be using the yellow stamps protocol, the calculation rule guide, and the dry day rules with my clients.

Leonie Ambühl

@cycle_bewusst

Let me guess,

You've got questions your method can't answer.

  • You want to fill in the gaps of your certification program and feel competent navigating non-textbook charts.

  • You feel like you're an imposter if you ask questions to other FAM educators, but you're curious about how other methods do things.

  • You have questions about incorporating other biomarkers into your teaching like hormone testing or basal body temperature.

  • You feel stuck when it comes to working with clients in real-world scenarios (like not being able to confirm ovulation, or charting through emergency contraception).

Well, you're in the right place!

we go down FAM rabbit holes so you don't have to
